Every external link from the course, collected in one place. Bookmark this page: when you set up a new machine or start a new project, everything you need is one click away.
What you'll get: all four groups of course links — Claude Code, skills, GitHub, and MCP tools — organized on a single page you can bookmark and reuse every time you set up a machine or start a project.
The four groups
Setup
Get Claude Code
- Download Claude Desktop — the official desktop app and the fastest way to get Claude Code onto your machine.
- Claude Code docs — Anthropic's official documentation: commands, settings, and everything this course builds on.
- Node.js (LTS) — the runtime Claude Code depends on; install the LTS version before anything else.
Skills
The two skill families
- mattpocock/skills (Family A) — the engineering-workflow skills used throughout this course, adapted, with credit, from Matt Pocock's engineering workshop.
- anthropics/skills (Family B) — Anthropic's official skills: documents, art, frontends, MCP servers, and more.
- awesome-claude-skills — a community-curated list of skills worth exploring once you know the two families.
GitHub
Account & repositories
- Create an account — sign up for GitHub; you only do this once.
- Create a repository — start a fresh repository for each new project, exactly as you did in Connect GitHub.
MCP
MCP tools
- Official MCP registry — the searchable directory of MCP servers; the official place to discover new tools for Claude.
- Reference servers — the reference implementations maintained by the Model Context Protocol project; a trusted starting point when you want to see how servers are built.
10-minute practice. Bookmark this page right now. Then install exactly one thing today: if you don't have Claude Code yet, download Claude Desktop; if you do, install Node.js LTS or grab one of the two skill families. One install done today beats ten tabs left open.
